PRAIA DO NORTE UP VEST, POWERED BY BLUE SOUP

“Praia do Norte UP Vest, powered by Blue Soup” é o novo colete de segurança insuflável, lançado pela Praia do Norte® em parceria com a Blue Soup®, projectado a pensar na segurança dos surfistas de ondas grandes, mas também de todos aqueles que praticam desportos de mar nas ondas gigantes da Nazaré. A Praia do Norte® tem trabalhado em estreita colaboração com a “Blue Soup Equipment Company” na produção deste importante produto de segurança, que é fabricado no Reino Unido. O sistema de insuflação possui dois pontos de ativação, que são acionados puxando as abas localizadas na zona superior do colete, caso o utilizador tenha dificuldades na água. Existe, também, um sistema de purga que liberta o ar puxando uma aba localizada na zona inferior direita, e que também funciona como válvula de alívio de pressão excessiva. A principal característica do colete é trazer à superfície da água quem o utiliza, com a maior rapidez possível e na posição de cabeça para cima à tona de água. A parte exterior do colete é feita de material elástico, com quatro camadas, que foi originalmente projetado para desportos de contato direto, como o rugby ou o futebol americano, e é extra resistente, extraleve e não retém água. O colete é ajustado na cintura por um cinto de abertura rápida, também ele ajustável. O “Praia do Norte UP Vest, powered by Blue Soup” tem a garantia de um ano e é recomendado que o colete seja alvo de inspeção no final de cada temporada. "Praia do Norte ‘UP Vest’, powered by Blue Soup" is the new inflatable surf safety vest brought to you by Praia do Norte® and Blue Soup® designed for the safety of big wave surfers and those taking part in other water sports in the giant waves of Nazaré.

Praia Do Norte has worked closely with the Blue Soup Equipment Company in producing an important surf safety product. The Praia Do Norte ‘UP Vest’ is manufactured in the UK, the inflation system has two points of activation that are operated by pulling tabs located high on the chest should the wearer get into difficulties in the water. There is also a purge system that releases the buoyancy by pulling on a tab located on the right hip, this also acts as an over pressure release valve. The vests key feature is to get the wearer to the surface of the water as quickly as possible and in the head back position.

The outer vest is made from a 4 way stretch material that was originally designed for full contact sports such as rugby or American football and is super tough, super light and doesn’t hold water. The Up Vest is secured around the waist by an adjustable quick release belt. The Praia Do Norte UP Vest comes with a year’s warrantee and it is recommended that the UP Vest is serviced at the end of every season and further details including available sizes can be found on our website or in our Nazare outlets.

The Praia Do Norte UP Vest does not guarantee the wearers safety and the wearer should only surf within his or hers capabilities, the product is only intended as a floatation aid should the wearer get into difficulties and it is worn entirely at the wearers own risk.
