"João "MASSAS" Macedo"

"

"Praia do norte is an amazing place, where we can see some of the most brutal and powerful waves in the world. In these waves we confront our deepest fears, and, by doing that. We transcend daily life giving more importance to all places and and moments that we have on this fragile planet."

João de Macedo

Biography

He graduated from college in Economy in the year 2000, and in the same year he founded "Surf Academia" in Praia Grande and later in Carcavelos; in California, he was the co-founder and project manager of the World Surfing Reserves program. João de Macedo is also known for contributing to big wave paddle surfing in the giant waves of Praia do Norte.
